I'm on a team with Zephen, Cephas, and Steven. We chose the song Sorry by Justin B we chose it because we wanted to do a video where we break something and get in trouble for it. We had to go through 20 songs that we all chose and pick one.

The storyline we created was pretty good because it matched the song lyrics. When we created it we thought of us breaking the vase and stuffed animal to get in trouble and try to say sorry. We have had a lot of struggles to get our story line for the Music Video but we are now finish with the story board and are now working on our B-roll and other shots.

I'll evaluate our degree for this Music Video by a 3 because we are struggling to film some shots and haven't had the time to go out and shoot some more videos because of our busy and tight schedules after school. So we are planing to film today (5/16/17) and tomorrow (5/17/17) and finish our shots and more lip syncs. We have struggled to get shots before on a different project but it wasn't this much of a struggle. We all have different things to do like Zephen he has football practice, Cephas doesn't get home till late everyday, and Steven doesn't have a way to get to the film location and also gets home late because of the bus.

Movie Trailer Premier

  Our project is about a girl who's brother passes away from cancer, it's been two years since he passed but she still can't get the doctors words out of his head "I’m so sorry. There was nothing else we could do." She later finds out she has cancer and it's about to take her too, she is in a lot of pain and needs help. Her dead brother Dylan comes back into the picture and says that he could help, she's very puzzled about whats going on. I contributed by coming up with some ideas about the situation and how they will react.


  The biggest challenge was making the Movie Trailer was getting the camera angles we needed to make it look so real. Our successes was getting great camera angles to show some expression. This was a challenging process but we managed to make it look really awesome.expression. This was a challenging process but we managed to make it look really awesome.

  I think that the results we got was great because it was around that range. I think we should of done a bit better to win the class favorite but it's good.

Metamorphosis Animation

Our project goal is to get a good grade and finish the project. We are going to be making all the animations on PhotoShop we animated on this before and its easy to put all the animation together to make it look as real as possible. The animations types we are using is stop motion.

Our focus statement is a bout a fish who is bullied everyday after school and a shark passing by sees it happening and stops to help the fish out. The next day the fish swims home like always but doesn't care about the bully because the shark scared him away, but the bully came back out and stoped the fish and says, " your lucky the shark was there or I would of cleaned you out!" The fish then does this awesome move and turns into a HUGE SPIDER CRAB and pinches the bully, the bully then runs off and never bothers the fish again. 

Our team was great we all worked hard and put our heads together to finish the project and get voted best overall. We took a lot of time creating the characters and scenes, we wanted it to be as neat as possible. We met up after school to get some great stop motion animation photos.

Verbal Landscapes

Nature impacts my life because all of our stuff comes from nature our clothes, homes, cars, food etc... Without nature we wouldn't be able to live through the cold weather or wouldn't be able to eat/drink anything. I love nature because I can explore everywhere and see new things. Nature is all around us and is also inside us.

Timelapse and slow mos are created by takeing videos for a certain amout of time then going to iMovie or FCPX (Final cut pro) and clicking on your video and going to the retime editor and adjusting the speed to you desire. It takes time to do this for time lapse it can take up to 20 mins. and slow mos can take up to 30 sec. It will take time for it to render but when its done it will be at the speed you chose.

The hardest part is the timelapse, we have to make the camera at a angle where you can see 1/3rd land and 2/3rd sky. We also have to take 5-15 min. to make the timelapse perfect. Time lapses are easy but kinda hard because of the requirements. Slow mos are hard too because your getting close up to something and trying to capture the right moment.

Poetic Personal Statement

Poetry is a shorty paragraph that is meaningful and inspiring. Poetry is used to cheer people up and make them realize some stuff. Poetry can be sad, happy, joyful, mad, calm, wild etc... Poems are really useful every time when my friend is feeling down I use poems to cheer them up and make them realize what they are doing wrong. Poetry also rhymes
and has rhythm here's an example

I made a rhythm in my poetic statement by putting some of my personal life goals in and adding some rhyme into it to make it sound good. It was a bit hard making things rhyme but I eventually made it sound good. I used rhyme because it has meaning to it and helps people with a hard time out. I added some words like flip because I'm a great front flipper, catch because I am fisherman, meet because I want to meet Ezekiel Elliott. Trick because I do many tricks on stuff, game because I want to go to a Dallas Cowboys game and learn because I always want to learn new things.

Our story line relates to our lyrics because it say's "I am not done yet" which is saying your not done with something etc... The story line is basically us not done with our food and the waiter is taking it back then the waiter brings it back to us at the ending of the song. Not done yet by Soja was about a girl leaving him but we remixed the storyline to people taking food away.

My favorite fast editing montage is when we flash back to me eating food then go back to the video with awesome effects. One thing to know about the music video production is that all the lip syncs that we are doing are all in synced with the song and all fit perfectly. Our photo cover is pretty cool because we show Me, Zephen and Cephas in the cover and our band name is "Da Boiz".

This music video show my best work because of all of my thinking and planning for this project all year long kept getting better and better. Our music video has several quick flash backs and awesome lip syncs. I think our project would get best overall and be in 1st place this time. We have our whole group doing their parts and contributing to the music video.  It will come out great, you'll just have to watch the video to see how great it is.

Animated Life Lessons

My teammates are Mike and Seline we are friends but did not work as a team before this year until now. They are hard working contributors and awesome teammates. Mike is the tall and smart one of the group he solved the problems that we had and made sure we all did what we was suppose to do. Seline is also the smart one she is a great artist and came up with the idea of being the mushrooms voice and her self, so shes playing two rolls in this video.

We use our humor in the story because we have a small mushroom and then it grows bigger and starts to chase me and Mike through out the forest and get trapped by a waterfall. The mushroom ends up telling us that we have to respect nature and wildlife and to remember that they are important too. The message in our animation is that you have to respect nature and wildlife and keep the Earth clean.

Our teams level of productivity is good we worked very hard on this project and did a lot of cool animations with some funny scenes. We could work again next time it was a good time, Mike, Seline and I worked very hard to get this project going. The biggest challenge we faced was getting the mushroom to look as real as possible it kept on looking kinda fake but we tried our best to make it look real as possible.

Character Development

I am a smart, athletic, and dare devil person that is always moving, taking risks, and learning. I'm very funny when I want to I tell funny jokes or just play around in class. When I'm in my dare devil mood I am going to try something even if its hard for me like doing back flips I can't do a back flip so I keep doing it until I get it right.

I'm going to be moving around and nod my head a few times. This is not what I wanted to do I actually wanted to do the dab but I couldn't make the dab look real enough. I'm trying to make it simple for me to do because this is my first time using puppet warp and I don't quit get it because it's complicated trying to make the action of something look real.

The step by step process for creating a GIF is easy. Step one is to get a picture you want to use to animate or draw something in photoshop to animate. Step two is to get the animation doc by going to Window > Animation > DD menu, that should pull up a window on the bottom that shows you the animation timeline. Step three is to do whatever crazy or simple animation you want to do but also remember to add new slides after each animation in your timeline. Step 4 is to save your work by going to save for web and devices.

It connects with our audience because it tells them that people who do the wrong thing can make a change in their life and turn out being good. The words realizes and changes shows that people can make a change to their self or to others. We have some action in our movie to show the audience that if someone unarmed breaks into your home you can take them down or wait for the local police.

The overall message is that a burglar can change by just one act of kindness. He realizes that he doesn't need to steal in order to survive, he just has to work for achieve his goal. You can make friends to who ever bad people or good people you just have to make them realize that one act of kindness can change someone and make them do good deeds.

The biggest challenged we faced was getting a new team member situated and in the scenes and scripts. We also had trouble getting time to film and getting time to meet up. We got some filming done and we still need to edit, film more scenes, and do some voice overs. I say our team is moving pretty fast and catching up with everyone else. We could be done with everything on Wednesday or Thursday.

Hockney Style Joiners

They are different from mine because he is a well trained professional and has more skills than me. He can make it better than me if he was still alive i would ask him to give me some advise and some help. He would help me make my pictures look almost as good as his and then I would probably pass on his advise and techniques.

Images can say a "THOUSAND WORDS" images have meanings and love. People enjoy taking photos and posting them to go the love and support from people. The photographers take time and quality in their photos to make people say "wow that's a really nice picture or wow that's a cool picture". Cute things like babies or pets.

The message that I want my audience to see is that I like playing games and I'm really good at it. They would say "wow this person really likes playing game... I think he is good at the games." I play on 2 consoles the PS4® and PS3®. I'm a really skilled player when I play GTA 5, I'm also good at call of duty advanced warfare I'm getting more games soon for my PS4®. I love playing video games I also chat with my friends and play with them on GTA 5.

2016 Aspirations

One to be able to get my dirt bike so I can race in motocross. Two to be able to spend time with my step-dad and not my real dad because I don't accept my real dad into my life because he left me out and chose drugs over me and my brother. Three to be able to live with my step-dad. Four to be a good brother to my new sibling. Five to have a great life ridding motocross and living with my step-dad and my new sibling with my mom and my two brothers.

My main goal is to get my dirt bike and start ridding and winning races. I want to race in motocross because my step-dad use to ride so I want to follow in his footsteps because I didn't have a good example from my dad and now I have someone to follow. I had experience when I was younger I use to ride a Suzuki small 50 on Anahola flat track, but my unko sold my bike and now I have no bike to ride. My mom and my step-dad is going to get me my dirt bike from their friend because their friends kids are all to big for them and I'm getting a hand me down when I was always handing down things to my brothers. So next up is the road to the victory!

First to get good grades in school so I can get it. Second to tell my real dad that he is holding me back from doing what I want to do. Third practice really hard. Fourth to be the best of the best at motocross. "Shanden Matsushima #808 the rookie winner of the race!!!!"

Scratch Game Design

 

I: Explain how user experience influenced your game

My game is a chase game. You have to run away from the cat and the football player. If you get 10 points you win. Your character will be a ghoul you are running away because they want you in your dimension but you want to stay because its a fun place. My second game is a plat former game its a game with levels. I only made two levels I have more coming soon.

My best code is making the segway guy move up the platforms and switching the levels. The most difficult bug fixes i had to do was making the plat former to stop but I still never stop it.

Invention Commercial

Our team's goal was to get good grade and to do really well on the project. But we struggled a little because we couldn't do some of the shots where and we didn't meet up to film. But we did good. I think that we should of did a better job at the entertainment part but other than that it was good. I really think we should of got at least a "A" on this project.

The best team moments was when we had to film the part where Taylor runs around and sprays her self it was funny. Also you could here Mike saying "What are those" . Another team moment was when we was putting the commercial together because we all pitched in and helped make it good. We spent a while on the filming because so of the other groups was loud or the shot wasn't the way we wanted it. We turned the commercial in on time and we made the deadline for the commercial, we are happy that we got it on time.

Composition Scavenger Hunt

I think the best one was the unusual angle because I had to stand up on the fire hydrant and trying to stay still. It was hard because the fire hydrant was round and i had to grip my shoes on to it to keep my self balanced. We had to redo so much because the wind kept blowing hard and other people was talking loud and the music class was drumming so we moved and kept redoing it till we had a perfect video.

The most difficult was rule of thirds land because there was no place perfect for the shot and it was to far for the camera. So we just decided to just go with the canopy above the library. We should of go to the Field and use the great picture of Lihue and Hanamaulu.

Taylor was doing the voice over and was in some of the shots. Kiana was is some shots and helped film. I was in couple shots and recording alot. We worked really hard and we stayed focus and did our work. We also helped another team with a group photo shot.
